Cool Jig - Bigfish The dirty browns are an 'in-between' color for me, when the water is starting to clean up but still not clear. I am really liking the silicone skirt material, have a bunch of proto's i can't wait to get wet. The football heads you are using should give some extra wiggle to everything also.

I can picture that thing moving through the water now. Pull it and the legs collapse around the body and stop it and the legs flare out. Should terrorize the smallies.

Thank your for your comments Guys. Smile

I look forward to the action of the silicone skirt. The craft fur tail will add some movement too.

Last fall, I did a little shoreline fishing and observed the actions of craft fur tails on football head jigs. At times when a jig's body was aligned nearly vertically, I could see the fur moving back and forth with the micro currents associated with wind wave action. Pretty neat, I thought. Cool

These are a challenge for me to tie. I have to constantly keep track of the silicone skirt's legs when forming thread loops during the whip finish. Sometimes, I get confused when making my turns as I slip the legs through the loops. Huh Undecided

Then, there's the careful wrapping of the thread behind the jig head to make sure that it gets buried beneath the chenille.

When all is said and done though, I'm usually satisfied with how these turn out. Jig
